Mission and Vision Statement
Our vision is to grow this organisation to be one of the leading Information Technology companies in South Africa.
We commenced operating in November 2002 and have survived the tumultuous period since inception.
We are poised for a period of rapid growth over the next two years. We see ourselves as one of the most exciting
I.T. companies in South Africa and have many interesting and exciting prospects that will see us grow into a well
recognised and respected I.T. company. Our vision is to grow into a well recognised brand in the I.T. Industry.
Purpose
Our purpose is to maximise our profits by providing excellent service to our clients. CNW Technology have spent much time gathering a range of skills to provide full Information Technology support to our clients thereby optimising reducing their down time and optimising their efficiency by correctly employing Information Technology.
Business Philosophy
To provide a one stop IT Shop. We encourage our clients to sign maintenance contracts with us because we can provide a full range of I.T. services. This enables us to quickly diagnose problems and provide timely solutions without being delayed by third parties.
Beliefs and Values
We strive for excellence in our service provision and believe in being open, honest and truthful with our clients. We consider ourselves to be an organisation with integrity. We believe that if we give our clients a good deal they will continue to support us. This sometimes translates to a smaller short term profit but definitely to greater long term success. We spend much time, energy and effort to train our staff and our philosophy is to employ staff with very basic I.T. skills and to train them properly. This initiative even though it is very time consuming has proven to be both profitable and very rewarding. The staff that were trained by CNW Technology can easily secure positions in other organisations and perform admirably. We believe in the keep it simple stupid philosophy and try to get the basics right.
Customer Relations
We strive to build good long term client relations. We also try to add value to our clients by proving good service. The corporate culture that exists within our organisation is one of growth, sharing and empowerment. We attempt to extend this culture to our clients.
Objectives
Our short term objective to become a well recognised and respected I.T. Service Provider. Our long term objective is to become one of South Africa's leading I.T. Company's. This we hope to achieve by doing each small task correctly the first time and thereby reducing come-backs. This will thereby improve our efficiency, thereby making us more profitable. By improving our efficiency, we will provide a better quality of service and our existing customers will refer us to new customers thereby increasing our sales. Proper management of this process will result in a larger, satisfied customer base and it will earn us respect and recognition thereby fulfilling our short term objective. If we then continue our efforts to get it right the first time over the medium term, it will result in us achieving our long term objectives.
OUR PLAN
We have recognised that I.T. will be critical to the success or failure of many organisations in the future. It is for this reason that we have concentrated our efforts towards developing software packages that are either Internet based or that allow for connectivity over the Internet. The future of business as we perceive it is to be web-based.
Our basic plan is as follows :-
1. Web based applications that give users access to online real-time data.
2. Desktop applications that use the internet as a medium for transfer of data. What this means is that you can have a software package installed on your computer and it will update a database server connected to the Internet in another geographic location.
Both 1. and 2. above allow for access to online real-time data.
This in a nutshell is our plan. We also provide support services related to putting these solutions in place. These include setting up the necessary Servers, connecting them to the Network, configuring them and setting up and configuring the workstations accordingly.
The database software that we prefer is also open source and the licensing issues are very easily complied with at no additional cost to the client, thus allowing us to provide very cost effective solutions.
PRODUCTS AND SERVICES
Products
The products that we sell range from hardware items such as computers and printers to packaged software such as Microsoft Windows XP Professional. Our core business is however software development. We have some standard software packages that we have developed such as our Document Management, Debtors and Debt Collection Systems.
Document Management System
This system is used to store information about a particular document. It has many data fields which will be associated with a particular document and allow the user to retrieve a document, display, print or email the document.
Debtors System
This system is a simple Debtors Ledger System. It allows the user to Add and Update Account Information, capture stock Items, generate invoices, credit notes, receipts, receipt reversals, debit and credit journals. It keeps track of the debtors age analysis and print out various reports. This system works well for a small to medium sized organisation. It is simple to use and a user can have this system up and running within minutes of installing it.
Debt Collection System
This system is designed to track accounts that have been handed over to the Debt Collectors for collection of overdue accounts. This is a robust system that is designed to process millions of records. It allows for data to be imported from the clients that are handing over the accounts. It allows for data to be exported to agents that are collecting on behalf of a central credit office. It is currently being successfully used by a leading Debt Recovery Company.
All of the above software systems work in an online real-time environment irrespective of geographic limitations.
The systems listed above are only a few of the systems that we have developed. These we market as standard because they were developed generically. We have however developed literally hundreds of highly customised systems for specific customers.

Our core business is software development. We develop customised software at the specific request of our clients. We recognised this as a niche market and have equipped ourselves to fulfil this need.
Much of our current work is in the development of customised desktop applications, however we have are also redeveloping many applications as web based applications. Being in the I.T. Industry, we have become accustomed to accessing information quickly. Timely access to information is what we believe will give a particular company a significant competitive advantage over its rivals. We therefore motivate our clients to move their business onto the Internet because this is what will give them the edge.
